Meditation and simple healing methods become tools for managing
and healing depressive states of mind.

Becoming Fearless
Based on the chapter Healing Anxiety Worry and Fear.
Work towards conquering anxiety, worry and fear with meditation
techniques to help to stay in the present moment and examine the
nature of fear.

How to Let Go
Based on the chapter Healing Grief and Loss.
Get to the bottom of grief and loss and it's associated emotional issues
with meditation and cognitive methods such as journal keeping and
group discussion.

Working With Life's Pain
Based on the chapter Healing Internalized Trauma.
This workshop teaches us how to work with painful experiences and
how to transform them, so they no longer impede us from living
meaningful lives.

Changing Habits!
Based on the chapter Healing Addictions.
Being locked into negative habitual patterns and addictive behaviour
causes us and those around us suffering. Isn't it time to let go! This
workshop will show us how to recognise triggers and impliment
strategies for breaking the cycle of addictions. See right for some

Living Harmoniously
Based on the chapter Buddhist Life Skills and Practices.
A 'how to' guide to living life in the modern world. Includes
meditations and instruction on everything from how to shop and drive
with compassion to how to parent mindfully. Be the change you want
to see in the world!



Meditation Workshops

Physical and Mental Healing Practises
Based on the Karma teachings from the book.
Work with Physical and Mental issues from a Buddhist perspective.
This workhop will help pinpoint the cause of ailments and give useful
advice on how you may remedy them.


Chakra Healing
Based on the Unblocking the Chakra's Meditation.
Cleanse and heal the five main chakras with ancient meditation
techniques. Go home with a new sense of purpose and clarity!

of Padma Care Services and Blue Padma Services
workshops. Developed by Venerable Tenzin our
methods have sprung from deep connections to
enlightened masters, an authentic lineage and
the desperate need for more loving kindness and
compassion in our world.

According to the Australian Institute of Health and
Wellbeing's statistical report, in 2007, about 1.4 million
Australians consumed alcohol daily and 2.9 million
Australians were daily smokers. About 5.8 million
Australians had used marijuana, 1.5 million had used
ecstasy, 1.1 million meth/amphetamine, 1 million
cocaine, 500,000 inhalants, and 300,000 had used
heroin.
According to Venerable Thubten Tenzin, people often
drink or take drugs to get out of the world. In a sense,
they don't want to suffer or see suffering, so they opt
out through substance abuse.

"Anxiety disorders generally involve feelings of tension,
distress or nervousness. In 2007, anxiety disorders were
the most common mental disorders, affecting 14% of all
people aged 16-85 years in the 12 months prior to the
survey. Women were more likely to have experienced
anxiety disorders than men (18% and 11% respectively).
Anxiety disorders were more common in women aged
16-54 years (21%) compared with older women aged
65-85 years (6.3%)"
This year [2010] alone 1,000,000 people in Australia
will experience a depressive illness."

"Depression is the third largest individual heath
problem in Australia after heart disease and stroke."

"About 6% of [Australian] people will experience a
major depressive illness in their lifetime. 1 in 4 women
and 1 in 8 men will experience some form of
depression during their life."
